Rupee down 7 paise against dollar in early trade.

The rupee fell by seven paise to 61.48 against the dollar in early trade on Thursday at the Interbank Foreign Exchange due to appreciation of the Greenback against other currencies overseas. In economy market dealers attributed the fall to the dollar’s gains against other currencies overseas and month-end demand from importers for the US currency.
