Portraying the role of a typical Punjabi guy, Raftaar Singh, Akshay Kumar is paired opposite the beautiful Amy Jackson. While Akshay certainly looks the part of the Sikh boy, carrying the bling with ease, the jokes and one-liners lack the wit and humour we have seen in the Khiladi’s previous comedies.
Amy Jackson, who has been missing from the Bollywood screen for a while now is way more than just a pretty face in the comedy, putting her action skills to use as she kicks and throws a few punches. We’re also treated to a ‘Bond girl’ moment when she flips her hair and walks out of the water after a swim.
Kay Kay Menon is impressive as he plays the baddie out to steal the girl in this one.
Directed by Prabhu Dheva, ‘Singh is Bliing’ does not lack when it comes to the visuals with a whole lot of colour, song and dance.
‘Singh is Bliing’ is slated to hit theatres on October 2.
