The swine flu death cases across the country has now crossed 100 in 2015. The death toll alone in Rajasthan has gone up to 62.Gujarat too, saw three more swine flu deaths, taking the total number of disease-related deaths in the state to 45. 61 fresh swine flu cases have also been reported in Delhi increasing the anxiety of the residents.
Three people have died due to swine flu in the past 24 hours in Surat, Banaskantha and Anand districts of Gujarat, taking the total death toll in the state to 45.
The death of Palghar resident Matilda Almeida, of swine flu at Andheri’s Holy Spirit Hospital on Tuesday, has spread panic in the area as residents alleged that Palghar Municipal Corporation’s health department was almost non-functional with no medical officer. Another woman from Nala Sopara, part of the newly formed Palghar district, is being treated for the disease in Jaslok Hospital and believed to be critical.
