Mumbai police is likely to register a First Information Report against AIB Roast and its organisers later this evening following a court order. An additional chief metropolitan magistrate ordered Tardeo police station to register an FIR against officials of the National Sports Club of India, AIB Roast, Karan Johar, Deepika Padukone, Ranvir Singh, Arjun Kapoor and others for holding a commercial show that vulgar, obscene and pornographic in nature.
The courts order came after social activist Santosh Daundkar filed a petition through his advocate Abha Singh before the additional chief metropolitan magistrate CS Baviskar. According to Daundkar’s complaint, the indoor stadium of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel has been built on the land provided by the government on lease to the National Sports Club of India. The designated use of this land is primarily, for the use of sports, functions of the Municipal Corporation, and holding sports events of children of various schools of Mumbai.
In this programme, one after another, Bollywood celebs blurted out pre-scripted, vulgar, pornographic and obscene jokes. Such words were spoken in front of a large number of women audience in an open defiance to the laws which govern our country.
