India Vs Sri Lanka Live Score: 2nd Test, Day 2 Colombo

Hello and welcome to the LIVE coverage from Day 2 of the second Test between Sri Lanka and India in Colombo.

India (1st innings):

105.4 overs: Out. Finally Sri Lanka get the breakthrough and thanks to Chameera ending Amit Mishra’s stay at the crease. However, Mishra played a handy knock of 24 runs. India 367 for 8.

99.6 overs: India’s tail giving a tough time to Sri Lanka rather a frustrating one. The hosts have managed to take just one wicket of Ashwin earlier in the day but after that no luck. India 349 for 7.

Day 1 round-up: A combined batting effort highlighted by opener Lokesh Rahul’s fine knock of 108 runs propelled India to 319 for 6 against Sri Lanka at stumps on day one.

Rahul top-scored for the visitors, ably supported by skipper Virat Kohli (78). Middle-order bat Rohit Sharma also played a delightful innings of 79 runs but lost his wicket in what was to be the last ball of the day.

His partner at the other end wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha remained unbeaten at 19 runs. For Sri Lanka, medium-pacer Dhammika Prasad and spinner Rangana Herath bagged two wickets each.
